Chief Marketing Officer

We are looking for an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to oversee all marketing operations of Live Bela and to develop its marketing strategy and vision. You will be in charge of running enthusiastic marketing campaigns and directing our marketing efforts towards wide-spread success. An excellent CMO is passionate for their profession, is prepared to promote the Live Bela mission around-the-clock, and has a well-rounded proficiency in all marketing skills. They can balance a practical mindset with a creative business acumen and lead people through complex marketing operations. Your knowledge and proficiency in graphic design, web design, social media marketing / management, and videography is a necessity.

A Typical Week

• You will communicate our progress with the Bela community
• You will design, build, and manage marketing campaigns
• You will research and form strategic partnerships as the networker-in-chief of Live Bela
• You will maintain the Live Bela websites and perform front-end web design on Live Bela projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
• Experience in graphic design and video editing and production
• Expertise in building complex layouts with CSS and HTML
• Experience writing code in Javascript and/or JQuery
• Experience with modern browser technologies
• Strong UX and design sensibilities, and a desire to sweat the small stuff
• Experience managing a small team of employees or project colleagues
• Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy
• Self-awareness and a desire to continually improve

Bonus Points

• Experience with web frameworks like Python Django and Angular JS
• Experience investigating and improving JavaScript performance
• Experience designing web sites or applications
• Experience in small startup environments
• Experience in public relations or marketing for startups in the blockchain, fintech, or other cutting-edge tech space
• Experience in marketing for foreign regions and/or proficiency in foreign language (Extra Bonus Points: Experience in East Asia and Europe)
